CUBA

The Frame Within the Frame

Throughout my time in Cuba, I noticed people were often outdoors, despite the heat. This differs from any other place that I have visited, where people are typically only outside to navigate to another indoor location. Additionally, the architecture of Cuba creates a vast variety of ‘frames,’ such as door ways and windows, that people typically pass by without realizing they are being perfectly framed by their surroundings. Cubans utilizing their outdoor spaces frequently, so by capturing their actions within their own frames, I aim to showcase the beauty of the everyday lives of the Cuban people and their surroundings.
