"A Day in New York City" illustrates how the progression of an average day can be captured in a series of beautiful moments. I have shot the images in black and white, forcing the viewer to look at life from a different perspective. I utilized natural light to create shadows and draw the viewer's attention to show how light can break up the mundane and create art from the seemingly boring. Leaving the photographs without titles allows the viewer to draw his or her own conclusions about the photograph without being told where to look or what to think. This series of images is hopefully the beginning of my journey of photographing New York.
